HOUSTON CLASSICAL TEAM
The Houston Classical team includes our staff, Board of Directors, Advisors, and very importantly, our scholars and their families.
Justin Davis, a native of San Francisco with more than a decade of experience in education innovation, obtained his Masters in Education from the University of Houston. Mr. Davis first joined HCCS as a part-time substitute and now serves as the HCCS interventionist where he provides students with the support they require in order to perform their best.
Cindy Gutierrez is a passionate educator with a sharp focus on our scholar’s development. This Houston native graduated from Sam Houston State University whose passion is to help children grow into leaders shines through every cheerful interaction with scholars and families.
Hayley Lewandowski is a Cypress native who graduated from the University of Houston. Drawing from her 7 years of experience in education, she relies on her expertise and the development she has received at HCCS to ensure our scholars grow to their full potential.
Director of Operations
Mandi Lovett was the first staff member to join HCCS and combines her Bachelor’s in Marketing from Stephen F. Austin State University with her Master’s in Nonprofit Management from the University of Houston-Downtown to bolster organizational results, effectiveness and efficiency. Prior to working with HCCS, this East Texas native has worked with organizations such as the Linda Lorelle Scholarship Fund, Houston Pets Alive, Meals on Wheels, and PDV Special Events.
Deyvis Salazar has been in education for 10 years. He has been a middle school English and History teacher, and he has also co-founded a successful charter school in New York City, The Neighborhood Charter School of Harlem, which is ranked the number one independent charter school in the state of New York in both English Language Arts and Mathematics. He was the founding Director of Special Education, as well as the Assistant Principal and then the Principal.
Tiffany Valentine just earned her BA in Criminology with a minor in Pre-law at Spring Hill College where she was a three time first team all-conference player for the SIAC. This Houston native is the physical education teacher at HCCS who enjoys finding new and fun ways to keep the kids active and challenged.
